Livery at Totleywells

We offer Full and Schooling Livery at Totleywells. We also offer short-term full/schooling livery subject to availability.

Our client barn has 14 beautiful stables, all lined with bonded thick Quattro matting on the floors and walls and with automatic drinkers. We have a beautiful and spacious tack room with benches for boots and individual lockers for next to each stable for horse-wear and grooming. Our facilities are of the highest standard and designed for the comfort and safety of horses and riders to our bespoke specifications.

We do not offer part livery or DIY livery.

Full Livery

We have 18 full livery spaces at Totleywells. 14 of these are in our beautiful new client barn, built to our design and specification by Andrews Bowen. Fully matted stables and walkways (floor and wall with bonded mats), automated drinkers and hay feeders. Each horse has an individual integrated horse-wear locker at their stable for rugs and grooming kits.

Ponies enjoy year-round turn out in paddocks with max 3 horses. Clients have access to our two beautiful arenas, the 70 x 30m Outdoor and 23x37 indoor and our cosy gallery with kitchen and wood burning stove.

Clients also enjoy our beautiful tack rooms, barn boot benches, wet rug store and pristine barn loos.

We have invested in the highest level of equestrian fencing with steel horse net and electric top line for horse safety, new gates and gate matting. New troughs and hay boxes and posts.

    • Daily turnout in pastures limited to 3 horses.

    • Feet done morning and night.

    • Your choice of hay/haylage.

    • Rug changes.

    • Rug Cleaning Pick Up & Return Service.

    • Worming, Dental and Vaccination Management

    • Attending farrier/vet appointments.

    • Use of large 70x30 outdoor arena with full set of jumps

    • Use of indoor arena and the Gallery.

    • Livery Rates on a wide range of specialist clinics.

    • Large Integrated wardrobe-size locker built into your stable, boot storage bench, beautifully appointed tack rooms with own cupboards and drawers, hot water sink, client loo and store.

    • You provide your own hard feed, but we administer all of your supplements and order your feed in for you.

  • We are very careful about adding liveries to our waiting list - the fit has to be right for horse and owner, a for us too. If you’d like to join the waiting list, please make an appointment to meet our Site and Equine Performance Manager, Gemma Kennedy to arrange a visit and a chat.

  • Full livery is £170 a week (Spring 24 price)

Competition & Schooling Livery

Our Competition/Schooling Livery Includes all full livery services PLUS:

  • Schooling 3 times a week including flatwork from our experienced dressage rider, jump training from our Resident Coach, hacking, lunging, pole work. (Schooling sessions can be swapped for lessons too).

  • All planned to a bespoke training plan based on your horse’s needs and your ambition whether that’s based on a safe quiet ride or achieving competition goals.

    • Daily turnout in pastures limited to 3 horses.

    • Feet done morning and night.

    • Your choice of hay/haylage.

    • Rug changes.

    • Rug Cleaning Pick Up & Return Service.

    • Worming, Dental and Vaccination Management

    • Attending farrier/vet appointments.

  • Schooling/Competition livery is £245 a week (Spring 24 price). Extra sessions can be added at an additional special schooling livery rate.

Short-term Schooling Livery

Schooling and Young Horse Production Short Term Livery (Minimum 3 weeks)

We offer a max of two additional places for schooling livery (subject to availability).

If you feel your horse needs a structured period of schooling or rehab that you don’t have the time to do yourself, or you feel it’s out of your skills set at this point or feel you’d like them a bit more established for you to ride. Short term schooling livery structured around your key goals might be right for you.

    • 4 schooling a sessions a week with a planner programme agreed in advance (can include hacking, pole work, jump, flatwork, lunge etc)

    • Feet done morning and night.

    • Your choice of hay/haylage.

    • Rug changes.

    • Rug Cleaning Pick Up & Return Service.

    • Worming, Dental and Vaccination Management

    • Attending farrier/vet appointments.

    • Use of large 70x30 outdoor arena with full set of jumps

    • Use of indoor arena and the Gallery.

    • You provide your own hard feed, but we administer all of your supplements and order your feed in for you.

  • We carry out an assessment of horses for schooling livery/production because the safety of both our team and horses is of utmost importance tp us - if we don’t feel we can work with your horse, we’ll be honest about it.

  • £300 per week including Full Livery Service, Turn Out and 4 Ridden Sessions a week.

Extra Services

From bathing and clipping to show prep and plaiting. Rehabilitation management to transporting you and your horse to a show.
We can even manage your jump warm up and help you with your nerves!
